How To Guides is free to use. It’s paid for by affiliate links: if you buy something after following one of them, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you.
Amazon
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. In a guide’s “What you’ll need” list, and in our toolkit, some items have a “Search Amazon” link. These go to Amazon.co.uk search results (not a single product) and carry our Associates tag. We don’t show Amazon prices, ratings or product photos, because they change; Amazon’s own page is the place to check them.
Other affiliate links
From time to time we may link to other companies using an affiliate link. Any such link is marked as sponsored in the page code, and this page explains the arrangement.
What affiliate links don’t change
Affiliate links never change what our guides say. A guide lists what the job needs, whether or not there’s a link for it, and we don’t accept payment to include, exclude or recommend anything.
